A travel through the games I love.

Have you ever played games? Well, I guess everybody has at least one memory of playing games or watching one. I myself think myself as a game addict, because I played a lot of games until now. Of course, some people think that I am not one, but I played about over 10 kinds of games until now, and there will be over 20 if I add games that I am currently interested in. Anyway, in this essay, I will be talking about the games I have loved, and the ones I still love until now.

Me and my allies attack an enemy base
I've played Starcraft 2. It was one of my favorite games, and it will always be. In this photo, I am currently destroying an enemy with my ally. It is great fun to play Starcraft 2, and it is one of my 'Major games' in my game list. I had this time when I played the 1v1 stage, and I crushed my opponent with my units. It was great fun. The second episode of Starcraft 2 came out to public at 2013, and I bought it almost instantly, and played it as much as I could. I loved this game, and I'll never forget it. It's a shame that I can't play it now, because I forgot my ID and password, and my e-mail was a Yahoo Korea E-mail, so I can't get my new password. What a shame.

I use a cheat key to toy around the computer.
Sometimes, I would use Cheat keys to play around with the computers, conducting experiments. I had this situation when I did a 4v1 against 4 computers. It was real fun to play around with them, all sending their troops against me and myself using cheats to toy around with them.

Metalrage, a Vanguard is hiding behind a small truck.
My next game is Metalrage, a TPS(Third person shooting) robot shooting game. It was a game that I really, really loved. Starcraft 2 was nothing in contrast with my love to this. I never raged over this, and I never disliked the users or anything. Starcraft 2 had a bit of trollers, who 'trolled' the game. And when I mean 'trolled', I mean that they made the game lose in purpose. You can't do that over here. Metalrage is consisted of lots of lone  plays, so teamwork isn't that great as it seems. Right here, in this picture, I'm hiding behind a small truck, after destroying a enemy(Although I die from a sniper at the very next moment). I'm currently in rage mode, which buffs your robot's abilities, and I destroyed lots of enemies while I was in this particular rage mode.
My first level up in Metalrage,
This is a picture of my first level up in Metalrage. What a day that was. Getting your level higher in Metalrage is hard, since you get very little experience from a game. So, when I got this message, I was ecstatic with joy. It was the very first level up in Metalrage, and it meant a lot for me. Metalrage is a game that was very exciting and fun. However, it is now dead and gone. Nexon, one of the biggest Korean game companies, killed Metalrage. Nexon was famous for it's games, which were all alike in one same thing: It took money. Seriously, Nexon's games really take a lot of money, because all of the good items are in cash, which is something you have to buy with real money. That's why Nexon users are all young, elementary school students. They use money to win a small victory in a imaginary game world, while Nexon is taking all that money.
A nuclear explosion happens in Norway, in Plague Inc.
Sometimes, I get really addicted to mobile games, such as this one. Plague Incorporates. It's a game where you spread a plague to kill people, and use them to annihilate the world. I was very addicted in it, and got all the achievements of it.

A Lee Sin kicks away a Varus to his side
Now here's the  big brother. League of Legends. The only game that I have been playing for years. I am still addicted to it, and I really love it. League of Legends is a MOBA (Multiplayer-Online-Battle-Arena) game. It is game with a unique trait, which seems to combine RPG and RTS genres, where you 'grow' your character and use strategy to acquire victory.  Also, there are over 100 kinds of 'Champions'. For instance, in this photo, we have a Lee sin  and Varus. It's a shock that it has only four maps, and it isn't boring to play in the same old map every game.
A friendly Fizz 'trolls' a Teemo.
However, there are the dark sides of League of Legends. For instance,(every game has this problem)League of Legends have 'trollers'. These trolls try to make their teammates lose the game in purpose, like dying for the enemy team several times, or like in this photo, they don't block deadly attacks for their teammates. The troll is a very big problem for every game, so League of Legends try to block these types of players, by making the 'Game Judges' which is consisted of ordinary gamers, who decide to lay punishment on certain trolls. They play guilty on trollers, and decide not guilty to people who are sued for no reason. Thanks to this, there aren't that many trollers in League of Legends now.

There are a lots of other games I've played. But these were my favorite ones, and even though if they wither down and lose their gamers, I'll still remember them and I'll always play for them.

Games- A small argument of the recreational activity.

Games.
A recreational activity for the mind and the body. Many people think that these games are violent and has influence over the human mind. Yes, that is true. Some games are violent. Some games do effect the human mind. There are some games like Counter Strike, where blood and gore is everywhere. However, there are some games like Starcraft and Natural Selection 2, where it is a real time strategy(RTS) genre, which improves the brain. Now, I ask to every person in the world who still think games are bad.

Is it?

Many people in Korea believe that games should be banned and restricted, but I believe that games aren't that bad as you think. I have four reasons for this outburst.

First, every kinds of games can release stress.
A research says that people play games to release their stress out.
This contributes in helping the human mind to relax or get sharper. This also results in making your brain more better than before.

Second, It is said that games like Starcraft 2 or Natural Selection 2 actually make the brain work harder, because you always have to think in a real-time strategy game like those two. This results in making your brain more active, which effects your grades to become higher.

Third, games can make people social. Many parents still think that in these days, kids are still playing around with soccer balls or tag or any other physical activities. Well, the truth is, it's not.

Fourth, Dr. Pamela Rutledge, director of the Media Psychology research center, says that gamers do approximately 10 to 20% more better in perceptual and cognitive activities then non-gamers, and that kids that enjoy games score better in creativity tests.

As you can see, games aren't that bad at all! Think: everything except for a few things were all made as a purpose for making humans happier. Games are one of those things. The only thing wrong about is the people who use it. Based on my reasons, I hope you consider my point of view in games.

The story.

I was born in the lush mountains and forests of Ionia. My parents named me Lee, and I grew up happily until I was sixteen. One night, In a dream, I saw an old monk, who lived in a nearby temple. He was looking at me inside the temple gates, and he mouthed the word, 'run'. I was sweating when I woke up. I was confused for the moment, then I heard the screaming voices. The neighboring country, whose name was Noxus, invaded Ionia at that time.
"Run,Lee RUN!"
when I turned, I saw my mother screaming at me, and without any hesitation, I ran. I ran and ran and ran. I past the burning houses of my neighbors, the screams of pain from childs, the wails of woman who were getting kidnapped. I ran into the woods, where I felt my legs fail and fell down.
I don't remember what happened next, because the first thing I knew was that I was on a bed, a pleasantly soft one.
 "Awake already?"
When I turned, my breath stopped. I saw the exact monk I saw in my dream.
 "Who..are you?"
I asked a lame question.
Then the old man told me in a smiling face,
"I am merely a guide for you."
I didn't understand.
"What do you mean by 'guide'?"
" I mean that I will gelp you through such times.
I was confused, just as I saw him mouth 'run'.
I tried to move, but my body won't listen.
"I told you. Your body was in too much fear yesterday. Take some rest, and you will feel better,"
With these words he left my room. I saw that he left some food for me, and I gobbled it up. After eating, my legs seemed to function again, and I walked around the room, exploring it. It was a plain room, with nothing special but a bed, closet and some windows. After about half an hour, I moved out my room to find myself in the temple. Sakura was blooming, and the temple looked beautiful.Suddenly, grief overwhelmed me. I lived and was watching this magnificent scene, while my family, friends, and neighbors were either dead or kidnapped. I couldn't control myself, and tears began to flow. I found myself leaning against the wall, with a small puddle of tears beneath me. The monk was next to me.
"Finished?" He asked.
As I nodded my head, he raised me up.
"You are with God's blessing.
I didn't understand what he was saying.
He put his hand on my shoulder, and led me to a building.
For the first few weeks, I concentrated on making Ki, which was used for attacking and defending. The monk certainly knew how to use it, because he knocked me down a lot with it.
For years, I practiced on fighting skills and using Ki. The monks began to call me Sin, which meant god. I was the god at fighting. For years, vengeance driven me into this.
My name was Lee Sin.

When I was 25, I heard that the 'League' was made in the continent, and that the Noxus will participate in it. My heart raced as I heard these news. I could finally release my revenge.
"You want to enter the League?"
My master was next to me.
"My child, the League will not be a battlefield for killing. It is a political device made for preventing war. You will be representing Ionia, with many other brave people. You will be noble, and unleash devastaion only in battle."
I nodded and thoguht,' Always my master. Who uses violence but in necessary times.'

I traveled to the continent, and entered the League after a test.
My first competition was with Noxus. I thought that it was God's will, and I saw that my team were all Ionians. The chief vanguard Irelia, the Wuju knight Yi, the leader of Ionia Karma, the revenging archer Varus, and me. All volunteered for this.
We started, and went to each positions and began to prepare for the 5v5 battle.
Finally, all five of us met at the middle lane, and we were ready to fight the Noxians.

Movie Review - The Princess Bride

Have you ever heard of a movie called "The Princess Bride"?

You might not have, because this movie was created in 1987 by Rob Reiner. It is a movie whose genre is a mixture of all sorts of things like romance, comedy, adventure, action, and it combines them to one big genre: fairy tale. It was filmed in Ireland, and the U.K, for some reason that I don't know.
This movie's structure is a type where a grandfather reads a book to his grandson, and therefore the movie is sometimes interrupted by the 'reading scenes'
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Buttercup, and her farm boy, Westley. Buttercup loved Westley, and Westley loved Buttercup in return. However, news reach Buttercup that Westley gets captured by the Dread Pirate Roberts, and so she unwillingly marries Prince Humperdink.
Just before the marriage commences, Buttercup is kidnapped by three outlaws, Vizzini, Inigo, and Fezzik. Vizzini was the leader who made the plan to kidnap her, so he was automatically the leader. She gets carried away, but she is freed by a man in black, and discovers that the man was the Dread Pirate Roberts, and discovers that the pirate was actually Westley himself. The title was passed down to great men or women, and it finally came to Westley, who the senior pirate thought as the next Dread Pirate. The Prince finds them, and Buttercup pleads to the Prince to not kill Westley, and the Prince says that  he will not harm them, but he actually tortures him in the 'Pit of Despair'. Inigo and Fezzik, meanwhile, was finding a six-fingered man, who killed Inigo's father, and was trying to take his revenge. They hear that the six -fingered man was torturing Westley, and they revive the unconscious Westley with the miracle medicine. Buttercup, who was waiting for Westley, was about the marry Prince Humperdink when Westley and the other two barged in and took her away. Inigo had already finished his revenge by killing the six-fingered man. Buttercup, who loved Westley, went to a far land and lived with him, making a 'happily ever after' ending.
After I saw this movie, I thought about a man's love, a true love so strong that can endure torture, overcome mountains and oceans, a love that can never be set apart. I saw that Westley and Buttercup made the same love,  And I learned that love cannot be set apart.

In this movie, I saw that the 'villians' in this movie were actually the ones with leadership, Vizzini ordered around Inigo and Fezzik, and knew how to make right decisions, but it was a shame to see his leadership broken by Westley's brute force.

My goals!

Have you ever heard of a thirty-day challenge? It's something what Matt Cutts made up, which is accomplishing small challenges like reading books every week or taking pictures every day, in thirty days. Well, in this post, you'll see that I decided to make my own thirty-day challenges, and I pray that I'll succeed them.

First, I'll read four books for this month. I see that we have study period, and since the KMLA has a library, I'll borrow some books from the library and read them in the study periods. I think I'll manage this, because there was a time when I read the fourth Harry Potter series in a day.

Second, I'll finish my English vacation homework here. Since I spend a majority of my summer vacation here, I'll naturally finish my vacation homework here. I have a lot of time to do it. I have study periods, the time from 9:00~10:00, and I'm determined to finish it here.

Third, I'll finish my math book. My parents know that I'm not that good at math, so they ordered me to finish the second-grader math in the GLPS camp using the math book I use at school. I don't like it, but I guess I'll have to do it, for this is vacation homework, too.

For this, I'd like everybody to pray for me to accomplish these goals, and I'll be glad if somebody comments my blog.

About myself.

Hi! My name is Choi Min-Hyuck, and my English name is Howard. I'm 15 years old and I live at Chunan, Chungchung Namdo. I'm currently attending to the GLPS English camp, and I think it will help me a lot.
My hobbies? Well, I like to play League of Legends, and I love to watch English programs or read English books.
These are three things that means something to me.
1.Numb3rs
2.Eragon
3.Kog'Maw

Did you get it? Numb3rs is the first English television program I saw. It's about a FBI agent solving crimes with a mathematician, and they apply math to crimes to get the criminals. So it's a very fun program, and it sometimes have romance inside it too.
Eragon is the first English series that I read. It's about being the last Dragon Rider who opposes against an evil king. It's story seems a bit childish now, but at that time I read it with such enthusiasm that I still remember the summary now.
Kog'Maw.... well.... is the first champion I used in League of Legends, and I used him for the longest time I've had then with other champions.

So, I'll guess through this introduction you would have learned some things about me, and I'll wait for comments!
